Manager - Nuclear Division
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manager in the Nuclear Division at Leyland reporting to the Leyland Operations Manager Carl Roberts. This role will lead the Engineering function and provide robust and competent technical support to design staff.
The successful candidate will be :-
- Qualified to a relevant and recognised industry standard.
- Have a demonstrable technical aptitude.
- Proven managerial experience, showing excellent organisation, supervisory, managerial, communication and leadership skills.
The key accountabilities of the Manager role are:-
- Accountable for the engineering process, engineering quality standards and ‘designed for manufacture’ quality as required.
- Responsible for Technical development to deliver fit for purpose solutions within the client’s specification.
- Responsible for regulatory compliance in meeting statutory and company requirements.
- Responsible for ownership of engineering quality.
- Service provider delivering to meet the client’s and company’s requirements.
- Preparation of bid proposals.
- Responsible for both continuity sales and bringing new clients into the business.
- Owner of the Mechanical technical resource pool.
- Responsible for staff development of circa 30 Engineers
